Can I Get Rid of Herpes?

Usually when you pick up a virus of some kind, all you have to do is pay a visit to your doctor to get an antibiotic that will take care of it in a couple of days. If you ask your doctor, can I get rid of herpes, then you are not likely to be so lucky.
